I could find little about the first 20 years of E.M. Gould's life. She was born in Brooklyn (NY) on August 23, 1864, second daughter to Charles Dennis Kingdon and Mary Carter. Please note there is a possible link to a Priest in the UK where she was educated. May be an uncle.
On September 14, 1886, Edith Mary Kingdon marries George J. Gould, I. They have seven children; 3 sons and 4 daughters. She dies of an apparant heart attack while playing golf at her home; Georgian Court, Lakewood, NJ.
